Group Support for everyone dealing with Mental Health and Emotional Health Issues.
Come share your moments, your day, your week and your life ... with others who are experiencing many of the same issues you are living with.
Meetings are held in strict confidence (first names only)
No judgements.
We simply share our stories with each other and in doing so, we lift some of the weight we are carrying off our shoulders by knowing we are not alone in our suffering.
People of all faiths and beliefs are welcome.
The Support Group is run from a perspective that unconditional love, sharing, kindness and support can bring same relief from our pain, our suffering, loneliness and depression. This in turn can help us get through the hour, the day, and the week.
George has spent twelve years as a hospital chaplain in Mississauga, caring for the spiritual and emotional needs, of patients, care givers and staff. Four of those years were spent conducting Peer Support Sessions for Involuntary Psychiatric patients in the hospital
John has lived with bi-polar disorder all his life. It has been, at times, a severe condition. Nevertheless, he has been successful in coping with his illness and leads a quiet life together with his wife. John will share about his struggles, his successes, and his many failures.
The program is built on the Christian Perspective that Jesus healed the sick and cast out demons with His simple presence and touch.
If God is ultimately unconditional love ... then we can receive healing through the divine spirit within all of us. When we reach out and touch others or are simply present with unconditional love, non-judgement, respect, forgiveness and support ... we too can heal the sick and cast out life's everyday demons. All ARE WELCOME ... You don't have to be a Christian. All you need is some hope in the belief, that Love Conquers All.
The demons we cast out in this program are loneliness, emotional pain, fear, frustration and anxiety.
These are the emotional demons everyone is touched by at some point in their lives.
WE are not offering a cure to your problems, but we can help each other to find a way of coping with our disease and learning to live with ourselves and others in a healthy manner.
Yes ... You can live a joyful, and meaningful life.
